I'm not liking the undertaking one though, as filtering could be classed as such.

New laws are always done for political gain , to make politicians look like they are doing something , when really all that is needed is for the current laws to be enforced properly.
since pulling out of a junction into a path:
careless / inconsiderate driving and or driving without due care and attention,
without enforcement it is sadly all just hot air ,
Sort of like the manure cannot be given away without a £200 permit (ie another tax) , I still get plenty of manure for free , and my vegetable patch grows fine cus of it , ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. with the general lack of cops around harsh faster filtering is so much easier! , as said laws probably mean squat! ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. The thing I liked the sound of most when I heard about this is that there will be an option to "upgrade" (not sure if that's the right word?) the current charge of causing death by dangerous driving to manslaughter. About time too.
Re the filtering/undertaking thing, it's a can of worms isn't it? Undertaking itself is not an offence, nor is it careless or dangerous driving, it is simply making progress in your own lane. Weaving in and out, yeah in some circumstances that can be dangerous (I wouldn't call it careless though, if you're going to drive/ride like that you got to be concentrating pretty hard and taking quite a lot of care imo).
Personally I would like to see the return of the death penalty for the middle-lane hoggers, one of my most virulent pet hates that..... ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |
