At last a warranted honoury knighthood to Bono. If any of you have seen Rattle and Hum with his Inneskillen speech, this sums up the singer of the greatest band in the world!

Having a large amount of cash which could find its way into NuLab's election coffers, perhaps?

Services to Equestrianism.

She helped bring an often ignored sport back into the public eye.

She's hardly likely to get one for being rich and spoilt given that she isn't.

It was ignored for a bloody good reason though, it's shit.

If anything she should be fined for bringing it back into the public eye! Laughing

Pfft Razz

I like it - certainly makes a pleasant change from the incessant football coverage and discussion (my love for that sport really is severely tested by the media, fan base and big business approach to it these days). Wonderfully entertaining to see rider and horse battle through three distinct and difficult disciplines under one sport.

Anyway... must try and get some sleep tomorrow morning... I have an enthralling night of cricket to endure starting in less than 30 hours Shocked

That figures. If you like cricket, horse riding must be like turbocharged 4-legged MotoGP.

I'm sorry, I in my ignorance and being a mere commoner assumed that as she comes from a long line of royalty, must be both rich and spoilt. I really should stop making these sweeping judgements about people I dont even know. For all I know she works really hard in her local KFC just to make enough money to pay the rent on her 1 bed flat and put food on the table. Laughing

Isn't the UK great. All of the "working class" are god fearing, salt of the earth. Do anything for anyone, they would. Such a shame they are so fearfully opressed by the toffs isn't it?

Good grief people trot out some pathetic excuses for hatred and discrmination sometimes Confused

Don't know about it being a "turbocharged four legged GP" but watching extremely skilled people doing something they care passionately about can be alot of fun. If you've never been to a scurry or one of the regional carriage races then I recommend it as a fantastically fun day out. I've not been to a dressage or a steeple chase as yet, but if the atmosphere is even half as good then it'll be worth it. TV can't quite capture that, but even so it can be good television. I'm sure fashionable cynicism will win out here as usual though, after all anyone liking a sport other than that good old staple of the proles will be branded pretentious.

Fair enough. Now you realise you're being ignorant do something about it and research the lives you make these sweeping judgments about instead of simply trotting out the usual anti-Royal line Rolling Eyes

I adore the skill involved in both sports, just as I do in many, many others and appreciate the work involved in taking part in any of them (especially at the higher levels). I also love that there is such a wide variety of sports which can showcase many kinds of abilities and provide me with oodles of fun stuffs to enjoy dependant on my mood > <

(Although cricketers can be skilled too - did you not read the reviews Shane Warne got earlier this year? Very Happy)

This is fucking obscene.

Tell what I love, pretentious arsehole millionaires that run around begging people for their money. Any man that has more money in the ashtray of his car better have dug V v V V V deep into his own pockets before he (and his cunt of a mate geldof) have the fucking bare faced cheek to ask me for my hard earned. Shit Ill give to charity if he fucks right off and boils his own head.

As for a knighthood, all I can say is I have nothing but disregard for the queen and her bunch of silver spoon sucking clingons - this serves to do nothing but enhance the fact that this braindead bunch of tourist attractions are nothing but muppets.

Good night and god bless.

Feel a bit better now Wink
