HM the Queen pays far more in taxes than she receives, and we won't even bother getting into the debate about the tourism wonga she pulls in, or her vital role in a constitutional monarchy. She seldom - if ever - whinges about the media intrusion into her life, and I like to think she is more representative of an ideal Great Britain than Blair or a woman dressed up as a ninja, from a culture I find odious.

I seldom watch the speech live though, because I'm usually still filling my fat cake-hole with seconds and thirds of Xmas dinner.
