Is it getting fuel (plug should be wet-looking after a bit of churning the engine)?

Did you take the engine apart? If so you might have made a boob of the timing.

finpos.

RS 125's are 2 strokes, and I'm pretty sure you can't mess up the ignition timing on them.

Have you got any compression? Have you tried jump starting it off a big battery/ car? If you have fuel spark and compression with a 2 stroke, then it has no choice other than to start really.

First of all i'd remove the plug, put your thumb over the plug hole and press the start button. The pressure should blow your thumb off the hole. If so then compression is not your problem.

I would then pour a small amount of petrol directly into the cylinder via the spart plug hole, replace the plug and try again. If it starts and runs a while then its a fueling problem. Most likely carb.

Also make sure the breather hole on the tank is not blocked as this will stop fuel flowing. A quick check is if you open the petrol tank cap and it hisses then you have a blocked breather (the hiss is the air rushing into the empty space)

Check the fuel tap is on and clean, remove the pipe to see it fuel is flowing nicely

Also check the kill swith is set to run (not being funny but it happens)

What sort of noise is the starter making, does it sound like its enganging and turning the engine?
