I got 'given' a ton of webspace recently, and have not known what the hell to do with it, other than post my winamp playlist, which nobody will ever look at Very Happy

So I thought i'd put it to (semi) good use, and have put up a site and forum to cater for all 125cc bikers. I know some of you guys get a little annoyed about the amount of NSR / RS riders that come on here asking newbie questions (like me!!! lol), and tbh I dont like to keep bugging you with silly questions all the time.

It's not a site aimed to take people away from BCF, more just a ground for asking newbie 125 questions that piss so many of you off!!

Anyway take a look (and sign up, so I can pretend I have loads of members, lol) and tell me what ya think....... If its a waste of time, or is going to take members away from BCF....let me know, and i'll kill it Cool

Oh and by the way.... the site name is 125cc UK, but the domain is (rather weirdly) www.freedomforce.co.uk. Dont ask why, I have no idea Confused . As I say, the webspace and domain name were given to me, and i've already asked about changing the name but it is on a 2 year lease at the min Confused .

Nice site, hopefully it will help with all the '125' questions being asked 24/7 on here.

The sites a PHP template though, they're all the same nowadays Razz

Good idea. Very Happy

Only thing I'd possibly do is drop the generic PHP content management system and use your own layout. However thats me, and php nuke type sites can work nicely if used well Very Happy

Oh yeah, and maybe a different domain Razz you can just buy new ones (£6 for two years on UK ones) and just get it changed with the webhost Smile

Cool Nice

Thanks for the comments guys Smile I wasnt really expecting any positive feedback considering the site has very little on it at the moment....

As for the domain name, Stephen can you tell me the site where I can get one for £6? that would be dead handy as the current domain is pants to say the least Very Happy

And I agree that PHPnuke is for slackers Razz I will look into changing the main part of the site into something home-made soon, I just thought i'd use a template for the min as it is quick and easy to get up and running. The advantage of it is that it is quick loading, and not bloated like some of the 'home made' sites that i've visited which have 1000's of massive jpeg backgrounds and java / flash animations and horrid colours etc Cool . The forums will stay phpbb though, as they do everything you could want really, and rather well too!

Try www.easyspace.com for a .co.uk domain at reasonable prices and just forward it to the one you have at the min.

I was actually gonna suggest we make a '125' forum on here (as others have suggested before).

Only prob with a seperate site is a lot of people who do know stuff aren't going to bother posting there.

A 125 or a 2 stroke forum would be very nice Smile /me pokes korn Razz

And I do kinda agree about the forum Confused

The only other point/ problem Lee... is once you get a bigger bike, all interest in the website will probably go (bit like nsr125.com Smile )

That is a good point. A seperate 125cc forum on BCF is a good idea, as is an 'off topic' forum IMO.... /me pokes korn in the eye with a snooker cue

The only thing that does bother me about either my own 125cc forum, or having one here at BCF, is that unfortunately, quite alot of 125cc riders (and it seems to be more aprilia RS riders) are just nova boys who are riding until they buy their first shed on wheels and pull out a copy of max power and a garage nation CD. They seem to be full of attitude and rather immature.

Maybe you're right. Its just that when I was looking around the web trying to find de-restriction information for an import, nowhere had it, and nobody really knew, and also a download link for the user manual - its taken me nearly 4 weeks of solid research and i've only just managed to find out all restrictions on a French NSR! Also, just simple NSR operations like in the NSR FAQ its stuff most of you lot know, but for a new starter it is useful information and quite a few people replied and said they found the FAQ useful.

I just thought it would be good to put all of that stuff onto one site, and maybe it will help someone in my position 4 weeks ago!

NSR125 is an excellent site, but it needs updating Smile
hmmm..... me thinks is it worth sending everything to korn and just asking him to update NSR125.com?.........
