You shouldn't have to, it's still part of the UK. ____________________ Go back to bed - You have no rights - "Streetfighters ~ Mainstream motorcycling's crackwhore sister." |

If you want to register the bike then you will need:
Insurance (or at least a cover note)
Visit a local DVLA office (just use google or the DVLA web page) as it saves time and you get to talk and deal with a real person.
VAT excempt form, if you are importing a bike then the DVLA will want to know that you have paid for the import tax
The appropriate V form for registration (I pressume the NI V5 will suffice)
£45 for costs of registering it
You can apply for tax at this stage
SVA or MOT can then be arranged.
All in all, it took the DVLA 5 days to return the appropriate forms If I had sent it myself god knows how much longer it would have taken.
The final thing would be to go and get a UK number plate. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

I'm in Northern Ireland mate and unless it is one hell of a bargain it wouldn't be worth the hassle. A lot of bikers in NI go to England for a cheap deal on a bike. So a boat trip is what say £200 return Belfast - Stranraer? Then depending on where abouts the bike is you have to drive to pick it up. Then going back have to drive it a good bit home.
Not worth the hassle and if you look harder you'll probably find the same type of deal only a couple of hundred quid less ____________________ Kawasaki Z1000 '05
