They have come back with an offer of £500, and I've taken it. It's exactly what I was going to take anyway. I'm just glad it's over!

For those who don't know, this thread will make this post make sense: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=97531

Now I have just started a new one. Rolling Eyes

Glad to hear it's sorted... 3 month turnaround on a claim like that is quite good response speed all things considered...!

I do not blame you for taking Mac D for a handful of cash and a lot of the damage may have been done by them. However the scrapes on the fairing were done at speed, I guess you must have hit an imaginary fuel spill at some time and forgot about it.

Missed the post first time around but just had a read-thru. Seems like they tried to dick you around just enough to get you give up. Glad you didn't. Bully for you. Thumbs Up

Not all of that damage was from McDonalds. McDonalds has now made it a 2nd Cat D write off. So it's what I was expecting on a £900 bike really.

All this seems worthless now anyway. Sad

Oh and the reason I haven't protested it, is I would only get £100 more max really. I can't be bothered to protest it just for that, plus I was illegally parked at the time, in the eyes of the law. So I'd be treading on thin ice.
