I have a 2001 51 plate CG125 CDI, is it possible to speed the idle up a little bit? even when it is fully warm the idle is very slow and occaisionally the bike stalls when waiting at the lights/junctions.

Any ideas?

Manual: See this thread - https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=104236&highlight=cg125+manual

Idle speed is controlled by a screw on the side of the carb.

EDIT: Sorry, link to manual now dead apparently...

Yep, adjust the idle screw by screwing it in (clockwise) to increase the idle speed. Do it a small amount at a time (no more than 1/4 turn) and let the engine settle between adjustments. Make a note of how much you moved it in case you want to put it back to how it was (always a good idea when messing with anything on your carbs).

When you have the idle speed set, you may need to use the cable adjuster to take up excessive slack in the throttle cable (leave a small amount of slack, couple of mm or so).

As it happens, I did a picture of a CG125 carb with the idle screw and cable adjuster marked in.
