......looks like both the ally pally and the LMS were a waste of time and money this year Sad

I've heard that there's a good show (managed by BMF) that takes place in may time, anyone heard of it?

I went today too, not really impressed. Ok I sat on a 1098 and a few other beauties, but as has been said was very a small show.

I came out with a jacket and gloves, not really any cheaper than current sales just got £10 off as bought both from same display.

A few of the stands said they wouldn't offer a show price as they had so many distributors, seemed to be a generic answer for quite a few.

As for the live arena show, ha! Padded out twoddle, with cars and BMX's!

Don't bother!

I can't believe how crap it was. Much worst than the NEC that was worst then last year's Ally Pally.
I won't be going to any more motorcycle shows in the next few years.

Went yesterday. Like most of you chaps wasn't that impressed with it. Actually thought the stunt show was pretty good though and without it the £13 ticket price would have been a rip off. Was a bit like most bike shows really with stands trying to flog you stuff at pretty much normal prices and a few bikes you can try a sit on. Small display of classic bikes restored was pretty interesting though.

This show was one of those rare things that makes the price of a cinema ticket good value, i.e. lasts longer and costs less!

Yeah - so I went today.

What's the point of putting it in Excel if you're only going to use quarter of the venue? At least they filled Ally Pally last year.

What was the point in that big hall used just for selling tickets eh?
Dissapointing, but went with some top blokes so still had a laugh.

I went on Sunday and i agree it was crap!

No major manufacters were there apart from KTM, Ducati!

Not impressed!

I am so glad me and my mates didnt pay the £16 ticket we justed walked in with the crowd walking in the two halls!

Waste of time!

Looking at the bikes in the bike park was much more fun!

Felt sorry for one guy he left his keys in the seat lock, hope his bike was still there when he returned to it? Shocked

I posted about this in the South East forum so will copy it here:

Myself and 3 friends drove up from Southampton, then paid the wallet crushing £12 to park then £64 to get in, only to be greeted by a show that only took a couple of hours to walk round and huge queues for food and drinks.

I know you can go see bikes at dealers, but its much easier when all manufacturers are in one place.
I am genuinely interested as to why Yamaha, Honda etc didn't have stands.

Also, although there was a fair amount of accessories and kit to be had, there wern't any "amazing" bargains.

All in all I wasn't impressed and won't be returning next year, but will just make the annual pilgrimage to the NEC.

£12 to park Shocked I thought it was fixed at £9 a car (wot I paid for 2 people and child).

The show was 'ok and it's a lot closer to me than Ally Pally, but the tickets are expensive, however I only went to score a cheap set of Sidi's (which I did, and saved £70 off list Thumbs Up ), and by chance clocked a new rear tyre for my 600 for £50, which I've fitted today Very Happy. I didn't go to look at the bikes, cos I'm not in the market for a new bike as yet!

Apart from that the food was a bit of a stitch, I swear them hotdogs (£3ea) tasted like they would come straight back outta me, but didn't offload them till the next day, so can't have been all bad. Wink
