honda 125 HELP !!1

bought old honda 125 , for work run . goes well , but if you old it at 40 to 50 the engine jerks and holds back , keep it flat out and its fine . changed plug , cleaned carb , electronic egnition . any ideas ?

Sounds like a classic case of partly obstructed mesh filter in the petrol tap, second choice dirty air filter, closely followed by corroded connector somewhere in the ignition system - if it's really 'old'.

You didnt say how old the bike is or what model, mine is 30+ year old 125S and thats where i'd look for this sort of problem,

If none of the above solves it then take it for a run and see if it happens at high revs in all gears, do a plug pull and post back, by then the post may have been moved to the workshop section

Also thinking it might be the needle in the carb, if the bikes been stood a long time at some stage the needle can get coated, or might have been bent during cleaning
