From previous threads it seems like fiming your own antics on the road are becoming a bit of a "shoot yourself in the foot" scenario where the riders are being caught from the footage!!! Does this worry you?

I don't have the equipment but i probably would do it a couple of times for my 15 mins of fame.

I wish i'd have had a camera hooked up the day before yesterday when some cunt in a van flew past a bit too close and clipped my handlebar while i was waiting to turn right. By the time i'd composed myself and struggled to keep the bike upright he was long gone leaving me with a completely snapped off handlebar, a chunk missing from the edge of my hand and a long one handed ride home. Mad

made a couple but not posted them on a forum. i have them on youtube a few recent ones but it does make you think. while riding ive thought, what if something does happen, and the police do recover the video.

i think theyre good to watch back, a mate wants me to do one behind him so he can assess his riding. watching my mum cringe while she watches though is priceless!

..hey you never know with some of these barmy big brother style empowerment ideas, they may even think about introducing them to press charges!

It does hurt just a bit. I picked the bit out of my glove, shoved it back in it's hole and whacked a load of plasters on it. Laughing See how it goes, i only go to a hospital as a last resort.

Wasn't too hard to ride home except for the right turn on a fairly tight roundabout. The zxr is a heavy old girl to steer at low speed. I had a bit of a wobble then.

Yeah and I have them on YouTube too, the speedo isn't visible so they can't do me for speeding. Smile

Shocked Shit. How big was the "bit"?

No story is true without pictures Mr. Green

Surely they could get your speed from the time it took you to go between two objects (which they've been out and measured the distance between the two)?

It makes me want to go out and do more now that they're trying to crack down, just to really piss them off.

I'm sure they'd figure a way. They could probably comment on the way tree branches are blowing around, the speed of other traffic, the speed pedestrians are walking, how long it takes you to brake, the engine sound if you haven't altered the pitch of that etc. It's generally pretty easy to tell when a video has been sped up anyway, things just don't look normal.

I probably would, and intend to at some point, but will just claim it's a friend's or something.

However they begin to crackdown too much by the time I get round to it, I won't bother with the risk.

I have no intention or inclination to film myself riding my bike. And if I did then I would be very careful about who I let view/have the footage of it unless of course there were no incriminating features that could be used to link the footage back to me. Very Happy

Yup i have three on google videos right now, one i dont show the bike, two i dont film the clocks, three i dont start from home.

Easy, but i also dont go out to act a wazzock on the road, i film my rides so i can watch them back and see where i went wrong.

I wouldn't bother filming my ride, cos anybody watching would be bored to death Embarassed and I would rather not spend the time sat inside myself watching my own ride when I could be out riding a new one!

I have one video, but it is so crap, the Police would arrest me just for thinking about it.

I wouldn't really bother for the simple fact you'd most likely inciminate yourself... either that or a ride that adheares to all speed limits is Eh?

one chap on a Ninja a few years ago was stopped by the plod they noticed he had a tank cam fitted, they were rather suprised when they saw the footage of him doing around 160 down (emplty) country lanes. he was only pulled on the off chance too Doh! he really got shafted for that! not to mention when they noticed he had a flipper for his number plate Cool
