The molasses attract sheep onto the road. These sheep then refuse to move, even if you try and push them out of the way. They're addicted to the sugar and cause major problems on Highland roads. Deer cause the same problems too, with salt as well. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

Think you might be forming your own conclusions about someone you might not know, eg the machine, self controll.
From what I can gather the comment at the start of the thread was isnt it rather slippy outside
and how he managed to NOT have any accidents.
If you had directed it at me I might have had to hunt you down and kill you twice, then use your sperm to make babies somehow and then kill them just for good measure (that bits a joke)
you then commented about bike cotrol or lack of it, you m,ight not have directed this at rizla although It did read that way to me although depending on whos post you read first you could have said it about me as I am spinning the back end up on the odd occasion and I mentioned cornering is as scary as hell.
ok, fair enough, I know you don't know me so I wont take it to heart about my said bike controll. I could mention I used to teach motocross and trails and have more years off road riding experience than I do on road and on road I have well over 30,000 miles all weathers on different bikes.
anyway back on topic, I think the snow isnt helping matters at the moment becasue as it melts its washing away all the salt and then the damp is freezing up again. Tiz a right royal pain in the arse ____________________ There is no point in ranting about someone stupid because there is nothing u can do about it. There is no cure for stupid.
Someone stupid does not realise they r stupid.stupidity is indistinguishable from malice U just have to accept that some people are thick as p1gsh1t and work around them. |

They basically just mix rock salt with grit. The grit provides instant traction but doesn't actually get rid of the snow/ice. The salt melts the snow/ice but only really starts taking effect when the traffic drives over it. The mix they use depends on what kinda roads they're covering. Your average busy main road has drains which get blocked up with too much grit, and there's plenty of traffic so they use more salt. On the rural roads there's little traffic to wear in the salt and no drains so they use a higher ratio of grit.
Then on the bridges they use a liquid anti freeze as the salt wouldn't do much good to the metalwork |
