is there some software in particular that can edit the audio track of a video and try to reduce windblast noise? i just thought with windblast adding a similar noise on different cameras that there may just be a solution?

i can hear engine sound in my vids, i dont want to just add music though..

cheers,
Rhys

im getting adobe audition to see if that'll do it, working out how may prove a mission as with usual adobe software(even though usually good in the end). for the video editing ive been using cyberlink powerdirector, which seems to only be able to change the audio track volume at set times. oh and also had a go with goldwave but just got some wierd star trek/star wars type engine noise!

...maybe it just needs hours of knowing what to do spending on it

The only real way to get rid of wind noise is to not record it...

A slightly more helpful answer would be to use a Hi - pass filter, however i guess that would cut out most of your engine noise with it.

You can have a play with some EQ aswell to try and get the optimum compromise between Wind and Engine.

Im asuming it was a bulletcam with built in mic or something similar?

Next time try using a wind shield over the mic....

If you have a mac, you can use 'Soundtrack Pro' as it has a really good audio analysis graph and you can easily isolate the annoying frequencies and remove them.

Although the main problem will be that wind noise can cover quite a large frequency range so you might end up losing other stuff too!

As was suggested above, perhaps just try pulling those frequencies down with eq.

just realised you'd posted replies, ive tried what you've said. Havent got round to spending lots of time on it due to work, but quickly played around with the settings that you mentioned and noticed a reduction, just needs abit of fine tuning as it did take out abit of the wanted sound. Also some time and patience!

thanks for the help anyway Thumbs Up
