I've just bought one of these and at top whack the needle on the speedo is at the max (50mph 'indicated' but god knows what it actually is!). I popped into my local scooter garage and he mentioned he could easily de-restrict it (cutting something off and welding a plate over it!?!?).
I was wondering, if I got that done and a good exhaust, just how much of a difference would it make to my acceleration / top speed? Also, the same question but with a 70cc kit added?
Oh aye, last question before I start pissing you off ( ) would all that make a massive difference to fuel consumption as, after all, I am using it for commuting?
Many thanks in advance guys. |

Hi,
First off, avoid kits - unless you are willing for things to go bang and the costs associated.
Secondly, derestricting has no adverse effects as it is just making the bike perform as the manufacturer intended.
Get it derestricted ____________________ My fingers smell of your mum. |
