Just me or are those pics HUGE!
2nd pic of your front looks like your down to the wear indicator, cant really tell about your rear but it doesn't look like there is much tread left on that either... ____________________ K1 GSX-R 600 - blue n white of course....

Those chicken strips are bigger than mine . The back tyre looks like it needs changing, but its pretty simple really when it gets down to the wear indicator it needs changing. 10000 miles from a tyre pretty dam good, i take it you do alot of commuting. ____________________ Honda SFX50 > Aprilia SR125 > Aprilia RS125 > Honda RFV400 > K4 GSXR600 > KTM Duke > C1H 636 > K3 GSXR1000 > Aprilia RSV-R > Triumph Street Triple R > Ducati 899 Panigale > Aprilia Tuono 1100 > Triumph Daytona 675R > KTM SuperDuke 1290 2.0 |

Why are you asking if they are ok? Measure the tread depth if its at the legal minimum or below they are not all right.
Have you found the twistgrip that makes it go faster? 10K from tyres is pushbike territory. ____________________ Andy Sez....

Looks like you could possibly eek a bit more out of them, but I'd replace both if I was you - it will feel like a new bike! |

Christ, learn to use the resize function in photoshop (or it's cheap and tacky equivalent) for god's sake.
There's no need for pictures to be that size, ever!!!

The best tyres to suit your riding will be the 'AVON ST45/46' combo from 'TST' in Warrington.
Or Michelin Pilot HPX, I have the HPX on the BUSA and they have done 3000 miles so far and they have about the same left.
The Bridgestone are olllllllllllllllld technology now and expensive for what you get in return.
The AVON tyres inthe dry will not let go without you being a right pudding with the throttle mid corner, in the wet they are good but in the damp on my BIRD they were a tad twitchy, maybe on a middle weight bike they will be fine.
I got 7k from my AVON rear on a Blackbird, mainly 2 up and NOT slow. |
Agree with Johnny the ST is 7mm tread-depth and very long-lasting.
That rear tyre is a goner, regardless of tread-depth. You will be finding that it squirms badly over white-lines and overbanding if you change lanes on the motorway. Fit some new rubber you won't be disappointed. I fitted new BT020's last week on my bike and the difference from the worn-out set was, as usual, astounding. The front though nicely rounded and evenly-worn also needs changing soon so might as well buy a set. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Even more impressive than your tyre wear is the condition of your brake-disks ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
