What they said, and what they mean...
| Quote: | The Transport for London figures reveal that more than 20 people are knocked down every 24 hours in the capital, mostly by speeding drivers. |
so by intruducing a 20mph limit will suddenly END people from "speeding"? lol, you know these people don't drive... what they mean is "by intruducing a 20mph limit, we can earn lots more money from people doing 30mph"
| Quote: | "Ideally, we would have 20mph across London now with certain roads able to opt out and have 30mph. We are starting with residential roads and the rest of London will follow." |
"Ideally, we would have an "unlimited income", but instead we will start with "taxing" the residents and then use the money to roll out our "money machine" across London and create an "unlimited income"
| Quote: | The TfL study shows London has a far worse pedestrian casualty rate than the rest of Britain. More than 100 in every 100,000 Londoners are hurt yearly - nearly half as bad again as the national average. |
"The TfL study shows London has far more pedestrians who can't be bothered looking before crossing the road."
| Quote: | The TfL figures reveal that more than one in 10 pedestrian accidents involve 10 to 14-yearolds and accident rates in inner London are twice as bad as those for outer London. The most dangerous time on the roads is between 3pm and 7pm. |
"we'll use the spin of young kids being run over to cloud over the fact we are about to rake in vast amounts of money from out "cash machines" ____________________ Excersise is rubbish!

They've introduced some 20mph limits near Hampton Court (outskirts of London), these roads are good for 50-60mph easily
I can't see anyone staying at these limits cause it's a struggle at 30. Introduce thoughs square humps, they slow down cars but bikers can shoot through the middle of them! |

They should have a 20mph limit in the parts of London I don't know so I can ride slowly and try and look for street names and direction signs. |

Speed limits need to rise after midnight, I mean ffs there is nobody about and they still say you should potter down the motorway at 70. Same with residential roads, I can understand a 20mph limit when the local primary school has just chucked out but at 3am on a Saturday night?
