You travel 1000 miles to see a band with your other half, you hate the band, they're the lowest point in music you've heard since agadoo, but you go anyway, becaause your just that nice and think you're other half deserves it.

You get in to the concert, you're surrounded by emo cretins, and ageing rockers, and rhythymically challenged hippies. You settle in and the band plays, and they're just as bad as you knew they would be, so you sit, bide your time.

Your other half has been pogoing his/her ass off for a while, seemingly oblivious to your utter boredom (you don't mind, you had an idea it would be like this) BUT! they then turn to you give you a smirk and say, "I know youre not enjoying this, but I am, so..."

Was the last word of the unfinished sentence more likely to be:
Thank you
or
Fuck you

For Thank you, hit option C
For Fuck you, hit option D

This has been ongoing for maybe 2 years now, so PLEASE help settle it.

Ta.

Every argument has two sides.

So say you haven't been to a concert in 10 years and your OH knows this and wants to take you to see your favorite band, even though he/she thinks they are shit.

They drive through the night to get you to the concert on time, and sit there patiently while you have a really great time. Every time you look over at them, you see how bored they are and wish they could be having as much fun as you.

You're overwhelmed by how much they must care for you to sit and listen to music they hate just so you can have a good time, and want to acknowledge this fact, but don't know what to say.

You say "I know you're not having a good time, but I am so..." and then don't know how to continue.

Option C : Thank You

Option D: Fuck you.

Option F. Meet their train/coach/flight when they get back with the words "Did you have a good time? I missed you."

I reckon it probably means both.

"I'm having a great time, I'm aware your not enjoying this much, but that you're doing this for me, and the best way to appreciate your efforts is to enjoy myself as much as possible, and not spend my time worrying about you, which would render the entire night a waste of our time."

That's what I would've meant by it anyway...

I think it's important that if this is going to be made public that both versions of events need to be told...

Fact of the matter is that no matter what anyone else says it's not going to resolve anything within the person's/people's head/s!
Personal opinion (were it me) I would be inclined to believe that the next words would have been either A or B and would run along the lines of "...so... you are an amazing man for putting up with it! Thank you" with maybe an added "I love you" thrown in!

On the other hand the majority of men that I know would probably have been inclined to believe the next words would have been "F*ck you" and no amount of discussion, persuasion or anything else (bribery, butt kissing, etc) would change their minds onthat matter! Maybe it's how a man would reply to another man... I don't know Thinking

My two pence worth is, you guys need to put the past behind you and live for the moment and maybe even plan for the future.

I never worry about the size on my ass Wink it's behind me Wink
