Dont know much about the master cylinder, but the brakes on the 600 are garbage from day 1.in my opinion, stick braided hoses on it first, try better brake pads...EBC HH seem to geta high recomendation, but i found them too aggressive on the discs. You could also consider ditching the 600 calipers in favour of the 1200 calipers, but will require an adaptor plate made up to fit the caliper to the fork legs..a guy called GNOME on www.oldskoolsuzuki.info had a source of these. Also have a think about uprating the front suspension at the same time..i fitted progressive fork springs,15 weight oil and SV preload adjusters and spacers.A 1200 shock on the rear along with a 1200 swing arm also went down nicely!!!!!!! The 600 master cylinder is 14mm, 16mm on a 12.... but...using a bigger master cylinder doesn't necessarily mean it gives you more braking power.

the preload adjusters went straight in did they? Did you keep the same air gap when you put the oil in, i've already got some braided lines btw Wink . Was looking at fitting a radial master cylinder (new gsxr) but wanted to know how different (if any) the ratios are between them, because then i'd be able to figure out how it would affect the feel brakes, hopefully for the better. thing is i dont want to spend loads of money, too many projects on the go Rolling Eyes

The adjusters and packing spacers went in once id dropped my Renthals out the way..they kept springing out trapping my knuckles between them and the bars(ouch!!).i kept the standard airgap, but as im using 15 weight oil,it meant winding the preloads almost all the way out to begin with and ride it round to settle in,then adjust them in till i was happy with the setting.Im using some brake pads called DP..got them from what used to be Motorcycle city and cant rate them high enough.Ive used various grades of EBC,but could get used to HH pattern pads.
