The clutch on my YBR has become looser lately, and doesn't seem to spring back into place, so when I pull it in, although it returns most of the way, I have to push it the last few centimetres to the rubbing housing. Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it? Cheers.

lol, the cable id probly full of gunk
take the cable out of the lever and loosen it down by the engine, cut a plastic bag and tape it at the top and fill with oil so it can seep into the cable, move the cable up and down so the oil goes into the cable, keep doing that untill oil drips out of the bottom and the cable is easy to move
ill post a pi in a second

some old oil that you have lying about, nothing special, i sapose the thinner the better, but in the past i have just used the old oil from an oil change, or done the same thing with wd 40, except with out the plastic bag, and just sprayed it at the top and moved the cable about.
up to you Mr. Green Thumbs Up

have fun Mr. Green

Yes it only a cable but WD40 also removes wax based lubricants and some grease based ones as well.
so if you use it it dose free the item up temporary but then it will seize even worse when the WD40 has evaporated

would never use the stuff its horrid

Their is another option, replace the cable, a universal clutch cable only costs £2.99 at least that’s what the Hein Gericke shops book says, I bet loads of other shops are around the same price.

My Honda CG125 is about to hit 2 years old and has done 10,000 miles and I have never had to even oil it, theirs no sign of oil needed, I even asked a mechanic to operate the clutch and he confirms its still ok.

Makes me wonder if the YBR125 is using a low quality cable, replacing it with a universal cable could make using the clutch easier and less maintenance in the future?
