Hi - this will be a very easy one, I'm sure, but I'm still new to all this so I would be grateful for some advice.

Just come back from a ride to find one of the hoses from my carb is dripping petrol (at least it smells and looks like petrol, but I don't want to jump to conclusions).

I've attached two pics, the arrow is pointing to the pipe in question, which is the black one coming from the bottom of the carb. I've had a look in the Haynes, and it appears this is a 'Drain pipe'. I assume the orangey one is the breather pipe.

I have had a look around on here and found the following thread, which seems like it might be useful:
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=68131&highlight=fuel+drain+pipe

However, I just wanted to check that I'm reading the situation correctly.

Thanks.

Make sure that screw is tight(on the bottom of the float bowl) as fuel needs to pass that to get into the pipe.

Could be a float needle stuck so your carbs are overflowing. Tap it with a rubber hammer or the handle of a screwdriver/ similar.

The black tube isn't an overflow though its the float bowl drain tube. Wink

Did this - it was about 1/8 of a turn loose, and the drip has stopped. Cheers!
