First Ride on Speed Four

Finally got to ride her of having her 1.5weeks now. I had to get the train in full leathers and felt a little stupid but got the Destination Triumph and paid for me bill and they got the bike around the front.

As i went outside a guy was by his GSXR750K7 and i said "nice bike". Turns out hes had it for 2 hours and just traded a Daytona 675 , it was even on the forecourt of this triumph dealer!!

So he left and i sat on the bike, really nervous. I got to the junction and was quite scared. The junction was quite busy but a nice opening came and off i went.

wow, this was so nice sound and feel when i slightly opened it up. I rode for a bike and the S4 was just so inspiring, within 5mins i felt myself lineing up the overtake (but of course i held back). I wanted to find a nice place to stop and as by luck came across this place!!

I then went to Brighton seafront but didn't realise i would have to use A27. I really got my confidence back here and although the bike is nice power it really started to show after about 80mph. I did a few overtakes and managed 98mph before pussying out

I then went back to my town and was enjoying the coastal route and doing some overtakes on single carriage. Filtering was so easy on the S4 aswell, and so flickable!!

Although i was having fun, i feel i need to lean a little more (was a new rear tyre)

I know its a long pointless post but just glad im confidence on a bike and thought it might take ages or just not like riding again

At least the bike stands out. I gather you managed to get your arai black visor to fit onto the shoei lid Also, don't be surprised if you only see 2-3000 miles on the BT014 because they wear like buggery. Learn to ride on the sidewall and you'll see 5000 or so miles

Standard suspension on the SV doesn't give a very good feel - it can be pushed a load more than the point it starts feeling bad but obvioulsy isn't that pleasant an experience. The Triumph kept a lot of the sports-bits from the TT600, so should be a lot better.
