We all know we love bikes.................
But what is it we love so much about them?
For me I am a bit of an adrenaline junky (Despite recent afterthoughts), so when I get on a bike I like to give it a bit of stick.
I aint too fussed about stupidly high top end speeds as I prefer being cranked open with the throttle being wound on scrubbing the very edge of my tyres!!
I rarely use my bike to commute to and from work as my nice suit gets a little crumpled under my one piece so its really only a weekend / weeknight toy.
How about you?
Let me know your thoughts, Steve.

Night riding dont really suite me, dont mind it but prefer to ride in broad daylight.
Maybe its because I am scared of the dark? Or perhaps I forgot to remove my dark visor? ____________________ Suzuki VL Intruder 125cc - September 2004 to July 2005

I really couldn't put it down to any one thing, so I've chosen the "other" option. There's a such a big combination of things that brought me to riding bikes and keeps me here, after more than a decade!
For the most part, the people I've met through biking have been the soundest I've ever met - that's an important aspect for me. The social aspect is good - the clubs, the rallies...and then there's those random meetings in the most unlikely of places with a fellow biker, and you've instantly got something in common, and there's the comradery; if you break down, someone will normally stop.
Then there's the grin factor, where I've been laughing out loud to myself while riding down the road because I'm having so much fun.
Sure, a car is a practical (and possibly essential?) tool, but isn't it so much nicer to be part os everything whilst riding a bike, rather than watching life pass you by in a car?
As a good friend of mine said to me once: "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul". And I reckon she was absolutely right! ____________________ Dead nobodies in company cars... |

I like the sence of really experiencing and being part of the places I ride through, rather then just looking at them from a car window.
That and the fact that they go really fast
On the downside I dislike the fact that one mistake from myself or somebody else could ruin the rest of my life. ____________________ Yamaha FZR400RR 3tj

Go to any bike forum and it'll be on at least 3 sigs. Or any T-shirt stand at a bike rally. ____________________ Current: CB500 Previous: CB100N, CB250RS, XJ900F, GT550, GPZ750R/1000RX, AJS M16, R100RT, Enfield Bullet

I like the freedom, not that you can go anywhere but your in the open, like you walking only not at all and going much faster than the average walker.
In a car i just feel closed in, esp on those nice days  ____________________ 99 RS125 --> 02 SV650s --> 03 Speed Four --> 92 RXS100 --> 93 CB400sf --> 01 CB600f Hornet |

It sounds stupid, but for me its lots of things, its a release from the melancholy that is life, its the one thing that makes me feel alive, that gets the adrenaline going (without fighting), its the speed, the feeling.
I'm passionate about my bike, its the only thing (other than the mum) that i actually give a shit about. ____________________ https://www.facebook.com/p/Francis-Lloyd_Cummings/630915297

random, but I'm bored and I felt like writing this:
you get up early in the morning, at once feel the heat of the suns blaring rays and take a look at your pride and joy, glistening in the garden where you last departed. As you ready for the day ahead the bike gear seems all too appealing and in a short while you find yourself kitted up and holding the keys, out you go to unleash the beast that awaits your every command and as you ready her for the road, the key goes into the ignition and clicks. When you press the start button and the old lady springs into life you both yearn for the open roads, twisting and straight, they are to be conquered.
out on the roads you come across a car, which in it's presence man and machine turn one, a smooth dose adrenaline floats you on by as the driver distantly witnesses the bullet like phenomenon which is gracefully back up by a sweet toned lasting *Vroom* as you pass into the distance getting to the point of your destination of which once again the two will depart, as the bikes subtle parts rest, the man again secures it in preparation for the next journey, as yet undiscovered.
I like filtering, and on the weekend the open road with sun beaming, and the freedom ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |

I love every thing about it.
The power, the look, the people you get to talk to, riding on one wheel.
I just love being on 2 wheels.
Miss riding with my mates ____________________ ◙◙► K6 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 1000 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► 96 RF600r ◄◙◙

I love making sweet progress in a summer traffic jam.
I love feeling and smelling the countryside & towns I pass through, being a part of the journey, not a spectator.
I love when the sheer exhileration of acceleration makes me involuntarily 'whoop' and laugh into my helmet.
I love being able to fill a tank with the change in my pocket.
I love the look on people's faces when the helmet comes off, and the girly(ish) hair comes out.
I love the free parking.
But most of all,
I love the raw, hot, throbbing power between my thighs that becomes part of me when I 'm riding.
and
I love the leather.
