hi
my 2002 125nsr stopped the other day i had just stopped at a junction and as the revs dropped it just stopped running. i got it home and did the obvious checks - plugs & leads, fuel, 2 stroke, then i checked the airways - all ok i took the reed valve out and my mate thinks they werent seated properly but we turned them round still nothing although they were perhaps not perfect. we tried bumping it and it would run but poorly and it would stall when idling. could this be reeds? any other ideas?

it's more likely a broken ring , you should go to your nearest garage and have the compression tested

when the engine seizes you feel it , generally with a fall down because engine is blocked . mostly when a ring break you have a loss of compression and the mixture pulls back in the engine
