My bikes going into the local Kwak centre tommorrow to plug a slow puncture.

Just wondering how much i should be expecting to pay as they are know as rip off merchants.

Cheers

Kwak center may charge more than somewhere like National Tyres, they only charged me £5 to plug a puncture on a loose wheel.

National tyres wont touch it - they say they dont have the license to plug bike tyres or something.

no such thing as a 'licence to plug tyres' they're just scared in case it fails, that you'll sue them, and want to sell you a new tyre anyway.

I've been runing on plugged tyres for ages, on both the Firestorm and the FJR, and at regular (for me) speeds, without any problems.
Buy a plug kit and do it yourself.. it really IS that easy.

this advice is worth exactly what you've paid for it tho Wink

When I went to France on my bike last December I was messing about on our holiday home drive (was a shingle drive) and the night before we were due to head home I got a screw stuck in it. Local french bike mechanic charged me 10 Euro's.

I suppose it will be like 10-20. Although down my local garage they would probably do it for free. Only really takes 2-3 minutes Thumbs Up
