Just did my first long-ish ride (35 miles) on my new CBR having passed my CBT. Sitting in the office with a big smile on my face now.
Can't wait for the ride home - beats sitting in my car on a sunny day!!!
Gawd bless country A-roads! |

Try explaining that feeling to a dedicated cager, and you'll be greeted by a vacant look.
Even commuting still gives me a buzz when I'm on the bike ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

Nice one.
You've now got two more milestones:
1) The first long ride no-where in particular because you don't have to be at work right now...
2) The first glee of filtering through stopped traffic on the commute (unless you've been particularly brave today).
Have fun. ____________________ Previous: '00 G2 Bandit 600 Naked. Now: '08 BMW GS Adventure. |

Didn't know 35 was considered longish. No disrespect By the end of each day I've usually racked up another 50/60 miles. That's just going to work and back then pottering about.
*cough* lightweight *cough*
Seriously well done if you've reached a milestone
Didn't see the just passed CBT part sorry |

the varadero has really good cornering ability i recall. get to a roundabout and lean lean lean.

Fan-tastic! That's quite a distance in my book - I've only got a CBR125 myself and my ride to work is about 5-6 miles! My longest rides are on my lessons, so yeah, I can be riding for two hours sometimes, but it doesn't seem that far.
Sayin that, if I leave work on time I hit the rush-hour city traffic, and it can take me up to 45 mins of queueing misery to get home. On the bike, I can be home in 15, with the aid of a bit of careful filtering.
Nice one |
