Can you sort out your avatar? I don't personally mind seeing a horrible scar in glorious SVGA, but I'm sure the mods will Razz

Apart from that, gutted about the bike. Sad

I suppose the moral of the story is NEVER drink alcohol and go racing with your mates on a public road ????

Did I manage to sum up your post ? .

If just ONE person looks at your injury and makes the decision not be a stupid tosser ( using a public road as a race track) while under the influence, your post would be worth a Thumbs Up

Thankyou for the kind words a1trackdays. Anything else you're unhappy with? Maybe I could change the font for you? Are you happy with my avitar? I checked the spelling so that should be OK.

Please tell me what's the point of crapping on if you've got nothing constructive to say? Oh, and if you'd read my post it said ONE beer (a small one as it happens)

People like you are the reason I prefer to ride on my own

Regards

On a bike you have to have your complete wits about you...
In my opinion one beer is more than enough to change your reaction times. well, if your a light weight like me.
Personaly I wouldn't risk it. I'm dozy enough as it is while sober.

Nicky-Jano - Couldn't agree more with you mate. Drink-riding is so much more dangerous that drink-driving

No wonder you ride alone with that attitude, read the rest of his post. public forums people are entitled to their opinions and not everyone will agree on the same one.

Your avatar messed up everyones screen display and there is a size limit in place, just people pointing this out to help you, didnt see any nastyness etc displayed. I occasionly stop and have just one beer myself as i know im ok, wont have any more but im fine with people stopping for a cold one in the heat.

iv riden (100 metres back from the local) after 2 pints, and it was not easy to control my bike, i have driven 3 miles back from another pub after 2 pints and i could honestly say it was a lot easier to control the car than the bike, even though i only had to ride 100 metres. Anyway i have learnt my lesson from those two experiences, neither is safe and neither should be done you put other people at risk.

But generally speaking if your in a car someone else gets injured after a crash but if your on a bike you get injured.

I think the reason it's more dangerous being pissed on a bike is because there's a balance factor to be considered as well. Cars don't tend to fall over
