I would say go with what you want, just take care and learn to control the bike and not the other way around.
Go and sit on a few and see what you feel most comfortable on.

Get some fairing protectors new folks and even more experienced folks drop bikes , and it takes time to learn how to save a particular bike once you pass 40 degrees from verticle (many people who think thisis the point of no return), like the NTV just needs gas and opposite lock and it stands up fine, ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. Restricting a GSXR600?
What for? You wont be able to learn on anything bigger than a 125 when you take your CBT till you pass your DAS. You can however get practise on a bigger bike (usually a 500 as far as I know) when your undertaking bike training form a bike school but not when you're out on your own.
And There's no need to restrict the bike really. At the end of the day the bike will only go as fast as you want it to go. ____________________ '99 Hornet 600 , VFR 400 NC30 '92 , Kasawamasaki GT 550 , '98 Hornet 600
