Our local supermarket is Sainsburys, there really isn't any other choice. So we're spending the money there anyway.
Jon and I mostly both fill up at BP garages because they happen to be convenient.
In January we had a crate of lovely expensive wine delivered for free ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

I use Sainsbury's for shopping & fuel, or BP for fuel. Every few months I use the nectar points to pay for the shopping, plus they send me coupons which gives me money off the stuff I buy frequently, mostly cat food and soup, it seems ____________________ Current: CB500 Previous: CB100N, CB250RS, XJ900F, GT550, GPZ750R/1000RX, AJS M16, R100RT, Enfield Bullet

We save our Nectar points for Christmas - Then buy the Christmas shopping and some gifts with it - helps lighten the load around that time ____________________ Mutley - 1988 Austin Mini City - Blog

If I was a Sainsburys regular, I probably would... but I'm not, so I don't ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

Well I would do, but seeing as how when I filled in my Nectar Card (or was it my Tesco Card?) ... the confirmation letter came back addressed to Jgneeb instead of Jennifer ... I'm sort of reluctant to really bother. I can't be arsed with writing back to correct it, and I think I registered with them three addresses ago.
I think I have some of those Tesco key tag things too, but at the minute I never really go often enough to clock up points.
And I really only use Sainsburys online to have stuff delivered for work, saves me lugging bags up the stairs all the time, I make the Sainsburys man do it ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Got a Nectar card when I used to use Sainsbury's as well as the BP garage across the road, EDF energy....etc.
Got a Tesco club card as well as now use, you guessed it, Tesco's.
Apart from the money off vouchers that come in the post never really used the gained number of points I have for a special something or pressie. Not a bad idea for some cheap chrimbo pressies ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

Personally I think loyalty cards suck. You never really get things free imo, just a bit of what you originally pay comes back to you. They cause delays at checkouts and offer far more 'benefit' to the the retailer than the customer. Scam? Yeah I recon, but as they are so widely in use you loose out if you don't use one.
Sainsburys near here seem to have also gone down the route of packing your stuff unless you ask them not too, which is annoying as I mainly don't use carrier bags and have full use of both my arms. ____________________ Gallery |

I've got serveral in different names along with my passports, a tip I got from the Bourne Identity to keep myself "off the grid".
Thinking about it, I'm not sure if my Iraqi passport will be as shrewd a purchase as I first thought. |

I picked the last option. Not that I'm paranoid, I prefer to keep myself to myself. I never do enough shopping being as I am, on my own. I suppose if you have a family and cars and stuff its worth doing though.
I have a deep mistrust of any database, its only a matter of time before they're all link or amalgamated into one honking great big humming subterrainean super computer that'll track our every move, purchase and breath.
You buy a scotch pie on Tuesday, you get a government safety leaflet in the post on Wednesday about how you're costing the NHS money with your fatty ways... You scoff now but just you wait and see... |
