i got a derbi gp50r and got a little problem with it

starts 1st time everytime without choke not matter the weather

in netural it revs spot on and ticks over nice and perfect, but when i shove it in to 1st and open the throtle it stutters until it reach's 6-7000 rpm then it fly's
this happens in every gear except 5th were i can do a steady 30mph no problems but as soon as i wanna open it up and drop it down a few gears it stutters untill reached 6-7000rpm

anyone come across this problem before ?

cheers

Hi, I have virtually the same bike as you.

I know what you mean - like the throttle/revs dont want to go until that point, I had the same problem every now and then but mine is usually spluttery around 6-7k rpm lol.

Only thing can offer mate, is check ur jets, they might be the wrong sizes. Thumbs Up

low end lack of power.
bad powerband?

either air or fuel set wrong.

have you been a retard and drilled holes in the airbox to make it sound nice? if so, there you go.

maybe a good carb clean would do the trick though.

its most likely the jets if you have an aftermarket exhaust on there.
has it been de-restricted? if it has, chances are it wasnt done properly, take it back and go OI BITCH!!! CARB ME!

in that case, most likely shit in your carbs. take them off and clean them inside. (bottom cover with the nipply thing on it).
concentrate on the tubes an all that.

maybe ur fuel filter is clogged? but that would usually be indicated by high rev chugging rather than low.
