Im taking my trackbike in for a daytime mot. Ive already clarified with the mot guy I dont need any lights, just a numberplate and horn.

He did say though i have to remove my switchgear. Now my starter button is on the right switchgear and my horn in on the left switchgear.

How do i go about removing it but keeping the switches i need?

cheers

Buy a seperate horn and starter button.

Also your kill switch is probably on the right too.

I've got my starter button up on the clocks next to the speedo, brought a kill switch off ebay and horn I've not bothered with yet as i'm not really fussed about mot'ing it.

If it has one fitted it must work otherwise its OK without one . . . Wouldn't catch me on a bike without on though, quick trip to being rear ended.

Yeah, mate of mine got a daytime MOT on his NSR250 race bike, he just stuck a horn on it. I think it might have needed a reflector on the rear, but certainly no brake light.

The only thing you need for a daytime mot is just a horn and a legal size numberplate. 100% thats it, been through the book twice with the honda mot tester. Dont need no reflectors.
