Hi all,
Just bought a 2002 NSR 125 with a few problems. Nothing major as far as I can see, I've took it for a ride and engine performs well and just feels like an all round good solid bike.
I bought this bike expecting to work on it as I wanted a project to do for a few months, will be a change from cars!
Anyway, I have noticed one of the front forks is leaking, and also the 2 stroke oil is leaking, quite badly. I'm not an expert on bikes but looking I can't see the fork seals been hard to replace? and I think the oil is leaking from a gasket, loosing quite a bit, is this a common problem and can anyone share any tips, advise, aprt numbers etc.
Cheers
Walshie
....Site seems great btw |

I think its the oil pump, but having another look tonight, it me be running down the pipe from the 2 stroke tank. Think I'll cut a few cm off the pipe this weekend just to see if its split round the edges.
As for the forks, from what i gather from BCF I may need a special tool, I think i might just take the forks off and take them to my local bike shop and get them to do it.
....also been told I can't get a haynes manual for a nsr 125 for some reason
Cheers |

Haynes manuals arent available for this bike, so was a pretty useless comment from above.
Take your forks off and take them to your local bike shop, Watch what he does and know for next time ? Will cost bugger all aslong as it isn't a dealer. Fork seals are £6-£8.

And regarding oil leak. If it's leaking from the oil resovoir as you say, Clean off the leaked oil and check where it leaks from. Could be a split pipe as you say - most probably. Or there may be damage to the resovoir.
Just clean off first unless it's already obvious where it's coming from ? ____________________ Bikes owned

I've not had any problems with mine, however for parts you want to try these:
Genuine parts : www.davidsilverspares.co.uk
Other sites: https://www.bitzforbikes.co.uk/HONDA/NSR_125/R-1_01_-_03
www.wemoto.com
David silvers is probably the better one to go for as they can get all teh parts and deliver pretty quickly, give them a call and describe what you need and they'll get it. ____________________ Past: 1985 Suzuki GS 125 + 2002 Honda NSR 125 R-2 + Ford Fusion
