Take off the no fear stickers. Thumbs Up Wee bit of rust on the front fairing hanger, might want to take all the fairings off and give her a nice clean. It also lets you get to know the bike better. Nice paint job too. best of luck with her. Thumbs Up .

Yeah, i don't like the no fear stickers either - just looks like some random 9 year old had fun with some stickers Very Happy

Will take her apart sometime tomorrow - I have an exam in the morning (my last 1 - yay) so after that it's just me, the bike and the open road!

nice, whats the RS50 on your avator??

I think it would look much nicer with a new number plate with new L. I I would personally for a 8x6 size which is *slightly* smaller than legal but you would be fine with the law IMO (had one before)

Nice though, this your first bike?

Yeah, I'm about to change my avatar.

Been out all yesterday, and working on her today - should be all sorted soon.

The key was chewed by the previous owner's brother Evil or Very Mad

Stock exhaust going back on tomora - MOT next week.

The L plate JUST came off now as I was riding home - fabricating a new bracket to stick some of these free plates on!

Other than that its going well!

most race pipes are actually road legal, its just your not aloud to use them at 16, the only reason you would need to take it off is if it has "not for road use" stamped on it, or if theres no e13 stamp, or its ridiculously loud. even if the pipe is any of these things most mot testers arent really that bothered, theyre usually just concerened that the bike is in good condition and that it wont cause a threat to any road users

Nvr realised you were local to me. Looks mint for a 50. Look after her. My keys like that, apart from its only about 3mill thick in the middle, bit of electrical tape sorted it out no bother. Enjoy Thumbs Up

Fenton Karma Thumbs Up

Tidy looking for an RS. Usually theyre pretty battered.

I agree get a new number plate and L.

Invest in a solo seat mould aswell as you won't be carrying passengers. Looks much better then too Smile

As Steve says, watch the fairings. Cheap rubber plastic and always breaks.

I had an aftermarket race exhaust and it passed MOT fine. They don't seem to bother.

Personally, I don't mind the no fear brand, even have some stuff, but the bikes looks a little 'chav'tistic with the stickers on, it's look neat for what it is, must've been somewhat looked after, I'd get a black tank protector too(ot that it matters being your bike). Ride safe and have fun mate Thumbs Up

off topic, but you got that NSR on the road evo Cool

Came off before - ran into horse muck on a corner - thanks to the people that pulled up in a car and managed to pull the bike up from on my leg. Snapped a wing mirror, but been working on the bike all afternoon.

Jesus man, was just going to say Lovely bike keep it rubber side down. Sad

Is that all you did snap the mirror? if so you got lucky. Thumbs Up part of the reason i chose a supermoto is because the thought of crashing an RS with all them plastics would be costly.

Anyway, lovely lookin' bike, try and keep it that way. Wink

Yes, even though I was going very slowly, the front end slipped sideways, i managed to swerve onto grass before I came off so the damage was minimal, the mirror is ok now - was the bracket, but it will go back on! The fairings werent damaged except a couple of scratches - I was fine after I'd come off, so it wasnt too bad.

Also found out today the bike is an MOT failure, and the MOT is due next week. Went down to talk to John Carr (the MOT inspector who is going to be doing the MOT), asked him if the crack in the screen, and using a bolt as a brake pedal were ok (neither were my doing!), he said they were ok (aslong as i put some duct tape on the screen) but pointed out that the front brake pads were shot and both tyres were back to front - hoping nothing else is wrong with the bike except the electrics - which i already know are faulty. Spent all afternoon getting her ready for MOT, just got the connectors to re-solder and it should be right!

Most scooters have pillion seats. There dosn't seem to be a good reason.
If you pass your driving test before your CBT runs out then you can ride a 50 or 125 with a pillion & without L plates

Not true for a 50. They are registered as 'mopeds' Therefore always has to abide by the moped rules of 30mph speed restriction, and BHP restriction.
For a 50 to technically be legal with a sports exhaust & derestriction it would have to be reregistered.

But most people dont bother. Most teens derestrict their peds, and tune them. Its suprising but most 50s can be tuned to over 60mph!
All illegally, but as long as you dont get caught speeding you'll be fine!

Not exactly. That only applies if you passed your driving test prior to February 2001.

Nearly. If you passed your driving test before Feb 2001, you dont need to sit your CBT.
But if you pass your driving test before your CBT runs out (CBT lasts years) it makes your CBT perminant.
