I've just spent 2 hours washing and polishing the car...

There are now some mahussive clouds on the horizon and a mate from Plymouth has just told me of an amazing thunderstorm taking place there.

Perhaps I should watch the weather forecast more often. Rolling Eyes

I HATE washing the car, but it was in a disgusting state and I thought, it being summer and all I would cure my boredom with some cleaning. This is bloody typical.

I must wash mine too, it looks a right old state at the moment, but I really cant be arsed! The recent rain has washed off alot of the bird crap from the roof, but as its usually parked under a tree you get all the sap fall on it!

My new cars filthy, and has scratches, dents and all. But with the help of some touch up paint, extremely fine wet & dry, my new random orbit sander/polisher, a bit of careful hammerwork and this little lot which arrive yesterday, it'll soon be gleaming Cool

Meguiars ftw

If you polished the car correctly the rain will just bounce straight off. Thumbs Up

Especially if you wax it afterwards. The water will gather up and can be dried off easily. Bit of Quik Detailer on once its dry and itll be gorgeous again.

Aye, the polish did it's job, all the water was resting above an invisible protective layer on the paintwork.

The car didn't survive flash flood water though. Crying or Very sad

If you have a spotless looking car round here the chances are some toerag will come along and key it. if it looks a bit tatty they dont notice it and walk past.
