First of all as you are 16, you won't be able to ride a 125 until you are 17 and completed a CBT if you haven't already. If you chose to get a "Crosser" styled bike, You can ride them on the road fine as long as its road Legal, examples (Yamaha DT 125 (2 stroke) or a Honda XR 125 (4 stroke).
They are fine for around town, longish journeys and are perfectly capable off road or green laning.
Hope that helps

Well your not aloud to ride a 125 on the road at 16 at all. Only 50cc and it has to be restricted to 30mph (Although most people derestrict them).
But you are allowed to race 125's on a track. It's a really expensive hobby if your looking to go into it you need to get sponsors ASAP really....unless your rich.

Perry, the poster was interested in 50cc
Sam, you could get a 50cc crosser, road legal but can't go on a normal track(like cadwell etc) unless you have a full license and leathers. If you mean a dirt track or private, then I guess it's up to the land owners, it's illegal to go random field trailing If you go for an off-road bike, it'd need indicators, lights, brake light and L plates, then it's set.
Oh, and a horn ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |
