Blimey,
Are you looking for torture or what?
You'll have to get a compressor and some professional liquid paint, because I don't think that spray cans can provide the consistency needed to respray an entire bike and have it look good. You'll need to rub down the entire bike and put undercoat on it, you'll need to strip all of the paint if the bike is a dark colour already...
Other than that ask Dusty, he resprayed his TZR 125 (although he had a brand new fairing - and he sprayed it black which has better consistency of tone) Its a big job. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade

Hi i don't agree with the guy above
spray cans will do fine you have to
heat up the garage and keep it at
about 25c and spary in light coats
(don't just press and hope for good
results ) build them up slowly and
eventally it will look as good as new!!!
Once you started to spray one coat
finsh it don't stop in the middle of spraying!
spray about 8 inches away. Also make
sure the place you are spraying in is
as dust free as possable
Hope this helps

hm......i've all the things required, as i can get a car workshop here(one of my relative owns it) and they do have compressor and stuff that allow me to remove and respray.
All i need to know is what are the paint that's recomended?

Well, hate to say this, but the one you're mentioning is about normal spraying technique. I knew all those as i mentioned.
But still thanks for your kindness for replying here.

As a general rule of thumb, you can't have a picture in you signature. However if it is very small and your on the good side of korn he may let it slip.
btw isn't 300kb huge for a gif file |

done my bike up,complete rebuild, repaired the cracked fairings, £90 quid for the paint for the compresser flippy/candy deep red colour ,pucca job, really tidy better then the tired old look, brought it up the garden,up a few steep steps, then it slipped !......
Three people on the bike and it f**king slipped !
one week later....
Repaired the CRACKED fairings, took it for a spin, and dropped it !
New clutch handle, new indicator, more touch up on the paint,+ new oil because it pissed its self over the road !
MUPPET !
the moral of this story...... leave the bike alone !..Its going to cost you more money ! |
