Well it looks like im not going to be riding anything for a while as much as im missing it... none of that summer riding or quick tours ive been dreaming about Sad (not that its been much of a summer so far!). After 5 months of trying to heal from a broken arm from my crash it has been decided that i will be getting a metal rod down the arm and screws in it tomorrow morning... Shocked not allowed to eat between now and the op but i stuffed my face with plenty of KFC and a pork pie earlier.... Very Happy

morphine and sponge baths FTW!

Get well soon, I am sure that with the help of the NHS you will be riding and wanking like a good by bonfire night.

Feel for you, the broken wrist that I was told wasn't broken turned out to be broken after all after an MRI so I may also be recieving the nuts and bolts treatment. Maybe we should all just play online MotoGP or something, one handed.

Well apparently summer this year is on July 15th, yes for the whole day! So I don't think you'll be missing much.

I predict a very mild dry winter and you'll be back on the road by then!

Hope all goes well and get well soon! Thumbs Up

Having a load of nuts and bolts in your body can be quite fun in a perverse sort of way. Especially if you travel by air Wink

I have a load of nuts and bolts in my Femur, and they certainly used to get the old metal detectors going off big time when I walked through Very Happy

Probably improved a lot in recent years, but it can be fun none the less.

Good for the sympathy vote from the opposite sex as well, which is all well and fine providing you are not married Embarassed

Also been through surgery and got the scars, got the metal rod in my femur etc! I used to hate the thought of it but now it's just normal!

This was also because of a bike accident.

surprisingly ive not got a cast looks like they just cut holes in my arm and shoulder then drilled me drop the rod in and stitch me back up. just had some tramadol im disappointed its not sent me loopy. Sad

just thinking all my ex's loved my shoulders and arms, i feel a tad mutilated now Razz

weird been told ive got a very slow pulse by several nurses and doctors. so im apparently really athletic for someone whose been stuffing their face with greggs over the last 5 months
