If it ever got stolen from your home then doesn't it state that if you said it's garaged, it has to be garaged whenever at your home?
So they wouldn't pay out i'd guess.
Also, if you had an accident they usually send round someone to check the bike. You never know, they might ask where the garage is.

Not worth it.

I actually delayed buying my bike until after we'd moved house, specifically cos I knew that the new house had a garage.
I wouldn't take the risk of giving them an excuse if the worst should ever happen to the bike

Depends if you're bothered about claiming if the bike is stolen from your home, as mentioned.

I was getting quote for cars, and a UK supra came out £20 more expensive[/b] if it was listed as garaged!

E-bike just add a £250 garaging excess, so if it gets nicked when it's not garaged you pay £250 extra. They still cover you.

Ive found when getting quotes that a locked building gives the same discount as a locked garage...

A shed is a locked building right? Confused

Its part of the terms and conditions of your insurance - which means that if you don't have garage or suitable locking building they can declare your insurance null and void.

Now I have a garage my bike is in it and declared as such. According to the terms of my Policy if she is stolen from outside after dark then I'll get hit with an additional £250 excess - which seems fair.

But more chance of not being seen whilst they're nicking it.
