Well i reckon that the CBR125 looks decent, but in my opinion, the NSR still looks better. Also, with the CBR being a fairly new machine, there's not much known about its performance. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

I can't remember all the differences off of the top of my head, but as far as i can remember, Two strokes produce more of their power at higher revs than four strokes, and they also pollute more. Er i think a 125 2 stroke performs better than a 125 four stroke, but i could be wrong. Also, two strokes are a lot less reliable than 4 strokes. so that could be an issue in choosing your bike. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

it has occurred to me that the demise of the 2-stroke is a truly bad thing. The CBR125 is a hideous travesty.
Imagine if you will, a CG125 Or an NSR125. There's no comparison really is there?
The worst tradgedy of the lot is the end of the Aprilia RS250, NSR250 etc.
Emissions regulations hmph. A Cancerous Polyp on the anus of motorcycling.
I might just have to get me a quarter litre 2 stroke bike so that I can make the world a smokey Castrol-R fumed place again. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade

that is so true...spolit kids do want a brand spankin new bike...but i want a new 125 but everyone tells me not to buy one, so i found this nice 2000 nsr for £1500, is it worth it?? but i cant get it till early may nxt year and i dont think the guy will wait that long i am bored of my 50cc speedfight, which has a tuned pipe...but onl goes 40mph, it did go 48mph, then i took it to the garage to get serviced, and when i got it back it only went 40mph...n e way that point is....is a 2000nsr 50000 miles on the clock for £1500 worth it??...its just for 6 months until i get my 400 soz bout that long post, got carried away ____________________ oga boga bo |

I hope you meant to put just 5000 miles instead of 50,000 miles! With 50k on the clock the engine would be in such a state, especially as it's a two stroke. And seeing as it's a 2000 model that would have been 50k worth of thrashing it!
I'm going to assume there is just 5000 miles on the clock which would make £1500 seem too good to be true. Ask him whats happened to the bike for it to need a re-spray, most likely been in an accident.
I had the exact same bike but mine was worth around £2300 with 4500 miles on it and in mint conditon (shame it's not that way now ). At least run an HPI check on it before you decide to buy it mate. |

Prices will also be a tad more expensive because, hopefully, the weather will be getting nice and a lot of people will be looking outside and thing 'hmmm... nice day for a ride' . |
