Or this might work

Get some electrical tape not gaffa fabric tape and cover up ALL the bits where the bungees and the straps will go , it'll save the bike tail pod from strap chaffing which my CBR has due to my french trip,
or since leccy tape wears through quickly put electrical tape down first THEN gaffa tape, gaffa tape leaves these horrible hard to get rid of sticky squares all over the tail pod. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. You've got the same panniers as me then. . and the same bike.
Ok, first of all, do they have 3 velcro straps linking them or two?
fitting mine I first of all lift the seat off and then undo the straps bar the middle one. Hang the panniers over the rear with the middle strap in line with the middle of the rear seat section and make sure you put the "fat end" of the pannier at the front, otherwise it could foul on the exhaust.
the middle strap should be taut and when adjusted right, the panniers should sit against the rear plastics with the top pretty much level with the rear seat section. Don't worry for the moment if they sag down, just make sure they are clear of the exhausts.
Next, make sure the other straps are out of the way and pop the seat back on. Then fasten the other two sets of straps over the top of the rear seat section and keep adjusting them until all the straps are tight and the panniers aren't drooping down anymore. like I said, they should sit pretty much level with the rear seat section.
They're done now, but you may want to attatch a bungee through the front loop on each side and through the gap in the rear footpeg hanger. I also attatch bungees in a cross pattern across the seat between the paniers if I'm carying lots of stuff or through the handles on top of the bags.
Tighten up the straps on each bag and make sure the zips are closed to the rear of the bag/bike to stop them working themselves open as you ride.
as long as they are snugly fitted to the bike, evenly loaded and not getting in the way of yourself, the passenger and the exhausts then you should be fine. I've toured around with a rucksack, rear box, tank bag and panniers before on my ZZRand you don't notice they are there after a while.
