Could well be that they have upgraded from ped's as it seems to be common to need to have feet dangling all the time to keep balance on them....
Must e something to do with where there single brain cell is placed.
Personally i like to get and keep my feet on the pegs as much as poss.
Might be something to do with being a bit tight and not wanting to wear boot soles out too fast.... ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

The only time my feet touch the floor is between 0 ~ 2mph
Maybe they just have sucky balance? ____________________

If I've been sat in traffic a while and I've decided to put both feet down, I sometimes trail my right foot behind me when I set off. I don't really think about it till I realise my foots still behind me. Kind of an unconscious thing really
I wouldn't leave my left foot down though my first gear is way to short for that . ____________________ Past: 55 Sym Jet, 91 ZZR250, 03 NSR125R. Present: 97 ER-5.

I certainly do it on my scooter . But I'm just under 5 ft and do struggle to balance (because of the weight as well as height) when I'm coming to stop. I suppose a lot of drivers behind roll their eyes when they see that I'm wobbling all over the place at the traffic lights. |

Even racers trail one foot behind them alot of the time on take off.
Most pics of the amateur racing/ track days if you look a lot of people use two feet still to pull away.
Go and look at some pics.
Some people just feel more comfy doing it a certain way.
Personally I'm a lazy bastard and when pulling up to a light I bounce the bike, turn side to side to keep the bike moving so I don't have to put my feet down

Personally I never do it I don't have time, my right foot is on the back brake, and by the time I've pulled away I'm shifting up to second gear so that's where my left foot is almost immediately. I don't put my left foot down at a stop until I stop, I will however occasionally straighten my legs, each in turn, on long journey just to give my knees a rest, or adjust my knee armour. But then again there are a lot of things I see other bikers do that make me wonder... ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |

i tend to leave my left foot down in traffic, not dragging along the floor though...
Must be a comfort / psychological thing, i dont wobble with it down, but if i lift it up at slower speeds when stopping and starting I do sometimes wobble.
Havent worked out how to stop smoothly either yet. i tend to put my foot down a bit early, so do a bit of a hop to a stop.
Still, i will get there, only been riding a couple of weeks. ____________________ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
