heya, last week i sadly came off my bike at about 40 and the bike slid on its right hand side. tried having a quick ride on it last night and the starter doesnt work, just get a ticking noise under my seat. also when i use any of the lights and front brake it switches my engine off. would this mean i just need a new right hand switch gear or could it be worse?

cheers
adam

aha, but did the R&G's work?

The clicking is your starter solenoid going to work.

I honestly couldn't tell you much else though, sorry mate. Thumbs Up

When i had my gsxr400 that clicking noise was a flat battery. Does the engine stop when you are riding it with the lights on or not??

I had loads of problems with my reg/rectifier and alternator. Basically the battery wasn't being charged so kept cutting the bike out.

yeah the R&G's worked brill, saved the fairings well.

yeah if i use the lights it switches it off aswell. while the bikes running after being bump started that is as it wont put any power into the battery

If you've only just put a new battery into it then either you got a dud battery, or something's frying it, i.e. Reg-Rec, etc.

ladies nail file up it, cut it to size and give it a good fucking with it.

have you checked your solinoid? and that the battery is screwed on TIGHTLY???
if its a little loose it will do as you described.

that connector's a bit trashed dude. The corrosion is caused by age.

If I were you I'd cut them off and make a new connector using insulated bullets.

Thumbs Up
