Recently invested (£52 :O) in a Baglux tank cover, fits nicely, protects the tank, job well done

Thinking of getting one of the bags to clip onto it, are they any good? They better be for the money, although they do hold their value well.

My friend has one that I've used before (Athena I think) and it was pretty good, and really easy to lift up to get to the fuel tank, only issue was it had to be full otherwise it got blown down when filling.

I'm after one, but the keen prices put me off (got a tank cover though! Wink )

Hi

They are pretty good and take all sorts of abuse we have one (an alpha I think) that has had regular use and abuse for 10+ years.

They also come with carry strapps to use as a rucksack etc.

If you are not in rush keep an eye on their Bargins Section or on ebay or the BMF.

But imo they are worth the money.

Regards
Charlotte

A friend of mine used a normal backpack, and then just kinda added bits on. It was on daytona600.org, I'll try find a link when I'm not in work.

Hi

To give you more idea of the abuse Charlotte mentions.

We have carried the bottom end of a 125 2 stroke engine in a Baglux tank bag Shifty .

All the best

Nice Very Happy Will invest in one, are they easy to clip on and off of the bike or are they a right pain in the arse? The less practical they are, the more likely I am to not use it.

Hi

Generally very easy, although depends a bit. Stuff them full and they become a touch more difficult. Same with some odd shape petrol tanks if you have a rigid shaped bag (eg, the one we have for carrying a laptop can be a touch awkward to put on the FZR600 where the tank is narrow at the back).

All the best

Keith

Just another vote to say they're worth the money.
Get the cover and then choose the bag.
I've a tank bag, don't know the name, plus just a map holder.
Useful for shorter trips.

FWIW the covers are called tank bras in the USA.
