Is it starting and dying or can you just hear the starter motor ticking over? It could be too much or too little fuel. Not too sure about the C90, is it carb or injection? And is it 2 stroke or 4? Could be 1 of many things.

Hi, that looks like the points model, its under the round cover, take out the long bolt on the square bit at the other side of the engine, the round cover will come off.
check the points gap and the timing, if that fails, a valve might be sticking, check the clearences on the tappets, there under the 2 round covers on the head.

cheers baldy, well i popped that cover off, and all i can see is the face of a cog with 3 bolts on it, nothing to really adjust or check

how do you actually check the points gap and timing?

valves look to be moving fine... Mad
