Hi,

Trying to nail two birds with one stone in this topic.

1st What size chain does a 125 KMX have?

2nd For measuring the CC (power) for a motorbike what calculations do you have to do for the measuring of the piston and isn't there something to do with the stroke?

I am trying to calculate the CC size of my KMX field bike as it has been overbored and it is no longer a 125...

Thanks

IIRC the size of the overbore is normally stamped on top of the piston. Thumbs Up

ideal, ill have a look later today, also while bike is running the KIPS is leaking a small amount of oil out of the cover.

Could this mean that the rings on the piston are worn and theres oil passing up through? The bike seems to go well enough and doesn't seem to lack power.

If your looking at the rear of the bike its the left hand side, its the side with the KIPS cover on, not the exhaust side with the powervalve linkage.

KIPS is the powervalve BTW (Kawasaki Integrated Powervalve System

Take the cover off, remove any traces of the old gasket (if there is any) from the cover and from the engine, and cut out a new gasket from paper gasket cover. Also, I dont think that there should be excessive ammounts of oil in this cover so if its really p1ssing out, you have some engine problem. a small bit stuck to the cover etc, is fine.
