I have a Hornet 919 date 2002 for Asia market-where the law limit speed under 180 km/h.
While the one for European can go maximum 260km/h (see pictures).
Anybody have ideas how to derestrict the limitter in my bike.
Thanks so much for your helping

This is the simple kit I put together & distribute

Remove your tail section & undo the T shaped cover attached (4 push pins) on the bottom of the tail section right behind the battery. Under that there will be a black ECU box with a gray connector & a black connector.
This mod is best done with the PCII, as you can do the mod by splicing into the PCII harness instead of the ECU harness & if you ever need to undo the mod you can make it look 100% stock
You can obtain your own connectors from a cd-audio cable (pictured below) as it has the perfect size connectors to match the ECU pins.

Another solution that I'm thinking to use the speedohealer to convert from km to miles. When I go at 100 m/h the signal send to ECM only 100km/h it mean I can go maxinum 180 m/h -> 180x1.6 = 288 km/h.But I wonder if the signal from Speedo send to ECU only 180 km/h,ECU will give enough air/fuel to engine.

https://www.speedohealer.com/eng/intro.htm

I write an email to the techinal engineer of speedohealer for asking
And this is his answer

Hello,
Yes, if you enable the SH''s "kph to mph" conversion mode, e.g. 140 indicated
on your meter will mean 140 mph road speed.
Probably it will also by-pass the speed limiter.
However, we do not have information on whether there is another kind of
restiction (e.g. HP) on this bike for the Asian market.
Kind Regards,
/Norbert

i would say that it is a speedo restriction, and that putting a kph/mph converter in, should solve your problems, failing that, mabee the power commander may serve the same purpose.

none of your pics work.

Another problem :I wonder if we fake ECU think 100 km/h while we at 100 m/h,it will give engine enough air/fuel,isn't it.
Because ECU only think it run at 100 km/h so it give air/fuel to engine like it work 100 km/h.

Help me

Hi New sol,

I think if you can get a speedo healer on ebay or similar it will fix your problem.

Your speedometer will then read in MPH, and the speed limiter will not take effect until 180 mph, which then 919 will never do.

Hope this helps
