My sons piaggio 50 cc moped headlight, only seems powerful when the bike is being revved. When its idling the light virtually vanishes.
Is this a wiring or battery problem or just a moped problem in general
He will be doing a lot of riding in the dark soon so i'd like to sort the problem out.
Thanks ____________________ i really like your wheelie |

Its not a problem, sounds most like a NRG as they are the worst for it...
Likes been said they are running AC current direct from the engine, hence no lights with the ignition on, only when its running... The higher the engine rpm the more voltage is produced so the brighter the lights... think of it like the old dynamos on push bikes As long as the lights are ok once the revs are increased a touch its all fine as when he is using it the revs will never be low. |
