...I just picked up my new 'phat whip' for the princely sum of £1600 with the TPFT insurance of just £290 with Adrian Flux.

It goes like the proverbial off of a stick and sounds like Barry White with a sore throat Mr. Green Thumbs Up This is one happy chappy Dance! Although it does appear that a someone has gone a little mad with the stickers.

It has a full Akra system from front to back, dynojetted and the power delivery is sweet as a nut, and did I mention the noise?

Its just low enough to struggle and get both feet flat on the floor so stopping at junctions on tip toes is something that is taking some getting used to weighing 200+ kg. Saying this though, the weight makes the bike planted and so easy to ride at slow speed

The clutch and gearbox is smooth both up and down allowing for a smooth put down of the power and with the Corsa rubber I'm sure that I will get my knee down (when I get some leather trousers that is).

Front brake is a little weak or the rear is super strong, not sure which?

I was worried about buyers remorse as I am tight with money, but at the moment I feel great at knowing that I have a bike that I have always wanted.

I wonder what the love child of these 2 would be like Laughing

Beautiful choice of machine.

I'm slightly wary of the authenticity of your full akrapovic system, particularly the end can but it's your new bike so I won't nit pick. Mr. Green

Yea shouldn't the title be "she isnt" as i know when i got my bike i just polished with the GF lacking serious attention for a number of days.

Also, i dont know why but i reckon she would love lovely with polished rims and black spokes or black with green rim tape. what you think?

The downpipes are all held together with springs and brand new, I have no idea whether they are real or not but the noise is lush. Complete different sound from the Yoshi on the ZXR and Leo Vance on the FZR. A deep throbbing roar that intensifies beautifully as the right wrist twists.

Has the odd little blemish as a 10 year old bike would have.

Was bought as a cat C a few years back, pure cosmetic damage. I have the legal insurance claim from the previous buyer and the garage worksheet from when the frame was tested for straightness.

One or 2 little niggles, as being my bike it would have Rolling Eyes Laughing

The side stand switch may be a little sticky, was told about this especially in the morning. I had this on the FZR, and may be tempted to just short it out if it starts causing more problems over the next week or so. Have got round this so far by either having the clutch pulled in or, knocking it into 1st.

The horn is a no go, but knew this on the test ride when I went to toot the missus. MOT aint due till next June, so can wait a little, although could have used it when some dozy plonker tried to pull in my way when filtering.

The one that does need attention is the full beam. Side Thumbs Up main beam Thumbs Up full beam Thumbs Down Not sure whether blown bulb, fuse maybe?

The power has almost caught me out a few times today as when taking the revs up and changing up the sudden burst of power when putting on the gas again has made the grip suddenly tighten and arse pucker.

You know when you are on a roller coaster and try to scream and nothing comes out, thats what I've been like when out riding so far. 2 wheels has never been so much fun.

I am so used to the monkey wobbling all over the place when trying to go round corners, I have to stop and realize that the bike feels planted when lean't over and use the right hand more to stabilize it a little more.

The tyres feel 100% better than the Dunlops on the FZR, almost encourage you to have a go. Just need some leather pants and sliders and I will Thumbs Up

The end can isn't an akrapovic but downpipes look like they are...who cares really, so long as it sounds good. Wink
