Xl125 rear wheel

Hi does anybody know if a honda mtx125 rear wheel is the same as the xl125r or if not is there a way of repairing the sprocket studs the studs are all lose in the wheel and just the big circlip is holding the sprocket in place

It's a cush drive , I have had mine welded full (ie so the hole for the rubber is not there any more) and drilled and tapped to fit 4 big bolts , much safer, can post some pictures later on if you want ?
Reason for doing this is that on trials bikes the rubber wears really quickly in side, Plus the circlip groove worn away. ( same wheels as an Xl)
Cost me £10 to have done (mates rates). You need to find some one who has an ally welder.

Just to add on what I said up there^ I found that you could replace the stubs on the sprocket and a week or so later 2 or 3 of them would of snapped meaning that it is only driving on one and could break any min.( Think the circlip grove being worn had something to do with this though )

Here are pictures of what I had done. ( been like this 12 months now and no propblems what so ever.)

Ps them marks on the sprocket were cause when the circlip came off.

I'm sure not having a cush drive on a trials bike is fine... This is a road bike.

next question is how on earth do you get the old ones out they seem pretty well stuck

Get what out ? The rubbers ? or the stubs off the sprockets ?

You need a cush drive... They don't just put them in for a laugh...

i need to get the old rubbers out to install new ones or to try the modifation above in the manual it says the wheel has to be sent away to a honda specialist but then the manual also says i have only four studs that hold the wheel on when infact there is 5

The rubbers are just pushed in , get some needle nose pliers and pull them out.
