 |

Hi guys.
I have already posted a question on here & I think I may have solved it.. but now onto the next problem...
I have a DT125R 1996 model. It came with the powervalve pegged shut which ment I could not go above 6000 revs. I then unpegged it and found when it reached 6000 revs she flew. I have now gone and purchased the complete powervalve servo kit and installed it as mentioned from this site... https://www.dtr125.net/ypvsf.htm
Its a bit confusing wether the 2 servo cables should be crossed or not depending on the year. Mine was fitted uncrossed. I now have great bottom end like when it was pegged shut.. it seems to climb with no problem but I expected the power after 6000 revs to be like it was when it was pegged open but its not. It seems to climb but at a push.. should the cables be crossed I wonder? When I switch on my ignition it performs the self clean and the pully housing moves clockwise 1st and the back again. The hole lines up perfectly. I was led to believe that the servo kit would give me the power at the bottom and the top. Like I said... without the kit and its pegged shut I have bottom end right up to 6000 revs.. with it pegged open I lose the bottom end but she flys just passing 6000.. Obviously somethings wrong? Any ideas
Thanx |

lol i know that finglonga, i was just using that as an example even tho its a 4 against a 2 stroke, but i was saying, when fitted with an exup my bike gains shed loads of mid range for the sake of top end, it soundsl ike its doing the same to his 2 stroker. ____________________ Haz ER-5, innit! |

Another question I need an answer for is this... before the servo cable cover is put on.. looking at the end of the shaft its a diamond shape. This shape fits into the pully housing in 2 ways... on the diamond end I notice theres a small dot.. should this be at the bottom or the top when the pully housing is fitted? Im not even sure if the valve is in the correct possition before the housing is fitted.. it does not mention on the https://www.dtr125.net/ypvsf.htm page |
