I only pay £130 a year with Bennetts and I've been told that is very cheap, considering I'm only 19 and have had one past accident in a car.

Is this normal? Very Happy

I was paying 150 a year TPO on my 125 with 1NCB and 18. Was cheap and no point in going TPF&T as the bike wasn't worth much. That was with Adrian Flux.

Crying or Very sad £300 TPFT with CIA this year, and everyone else wanted to charge me at least £500!

I've no idea why it's so high? I'm 20, have 1 years no claims, and i keep my DT125X locked in my garage over night.

I hate insurance Rolling Eyes

Shocked You guys got it cheap, I got £622 as my best quote. 17 no years ncb, bike on the drive way, alarmed, NSR125R, TPFT.

I'm hoping to get it much cheaper this year now I'm 18, I've done my test, and I'm keeping the bike in the garage.

I was 17 when I got my DT insured for 350ish euros. Fresh license. Could have got it for 300 but they didn't pay enough to cover the costs of killing someone, or totalling a veyron, so I went for the hardcore insurance Smile

It's not with a company, but some kind of national organization that insures people who can't get insurance elsewhere. You'd think it'd be hard to qualify, but it's all done over the phone.

"Have any companies given you a quote?"

"No."

"OK then, we'll send the details to you by fax"

SCORE.

I`m 42, just bought a new xr125-L. Have not been insured for years. £84 for basic insurance, which I now have. I bought a scooter 9 months back, a chinese make and that cost me £97 for a moped 50cc.....

18, 0 NCB, (only been riding 4 months) '06 CBR125 valued at £1795, £416 TPO through Bennetts Sad (Policy is with AXA) £0 Excess.

Should have valued the bike at less tbh, would have made it cheaper. It cost me £1795, although at the time it was likely worth more... Showroom condition with 560 miles on it (£2600 brand new). (On a side note, how much could i sell it for now, with about 3k on the clock?)
